AMU teacher elected to INSA Council

 

Aligarh : Prof. Qudsia Tahseen, Department of Zoology, Aligarh Muslim University has been elected as a Member, Council of the Indian National Science Academy (INSA), which stands as India’s foremost scientific organization, dedicated to recognizing exceptional achievements in science. This honour underscores her remarkable contributions to the scientific community and her commitment to advancing knowledge and its practical applications for societal progress.

Prof. Tahseen has been a sectional committee expert at INSA and a recipient of the INSA Young Scientist medal. She currently holds the unique distinction of being the only faculty member at AMU to be a fellow of three prestigious National Academies, INSA, IASc. and NASI.

Her expertise in nematode taxonomy has earned her international acclaim, with numerous fellowships including the Royal Society Fellowship, Rothamsted International Fellowship, Erasmus Mundus Scholarship, and TWAS-CAS Fellowship.
