AMU teacher honoured

 

ALIGARH  : Dr Shams Tabrez Khan, Department of Agricultural Microbiology, Aligarh Muslim University has been conferred the “Environmental Protection Research Award, 2023” at the 5th International Conference on “Climate Change and Its Impact”, jointly organized by the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Kahsmir, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Midwest University, Nepal, University of Agricultural Sciences, Karnataka, VNM Krishi Vidyapeeth, Maharashtra and Agricultural and Environmental Development Society (AETDS), Uttarakhand.

Delivering his talk, Dr. Khan stressed the need to develop crops that are climate resilient, while providing much-required nutrition. Such crops and their associated microbes can help achieve food security in the face of an ever-changing climate.

The award recognizes his contribution to the field of microbiology, especially to environmental microbiology.

Dr Tabrez has authored more than 100 research articles in reputed international journals and presented papers at more than 12 international conferences.
