AMU urges employees to donate for support to Delhi riot victims

Aligarh: The Aligarh Muslim University, while taking an initiative on humanitarian grounds, has urged its employees to voluntarily contribute for generous financial support to the affected families of the communal violence that recently occurred in North East Delhi.

The Finance Officer, Professor S M Jawed Akhtar has issued the format for faculty members and employees of the university to give their consent for deduction of the desired donation amount from their salary.

Prof Akhtar said that the AMU Vice Chancellor will constitute a committee of senior employees to decide the format and criteria of payment to the members of riot affected families.
