AMU , Vice Chancellor appeals to change challenges into opportunities
Aligarh,: As the Covid -19 pandemic continues to disrupt the normal functioning of educational institutions across the globe, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Vice Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor appealed to change challenges into opportunities by shifting base to virtual platforms for teaching and learning.
“For teaching and learning needs, our quest is to transform challenges into opportunities by way of technology adoption to enhance usage of all possible virtual teaching-learning ?evaluation methods,” said the Vice Chancellor.
Prof Mansoor pointed out that the University is taking decisions in the best interest of students with the monitoring of the situation at regular intervals.
“A workshop was conducted to teachers to provide them with hands-on-experience on Moodle-LMS, a world class Learning Management Solution (LMS) that offers highly secure, flexible, scalable and user friendly environment for taking care of a wide range of teaching and learning needs of institutions across the globe,” said the Vice Chancellor adding that 400 teachers participated in the workshop.
He added that the implementation of LMS has started progressively in all the University faculties.
The Vice Chancellor has also strongly urged everyone to maintain social distancing, perform regular hand washing, wearing of masks at public places, disinfecting of surfaces, improving personal hygiene and adhering to all other guidelines issued by various competent authorities.
