AMU Vice Chancellor extends date for suggestions

Aligarh: The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Vice Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor has extended the date to seek suggestions, feedback, comments, inputs and views from the stakeholders of the donors category for the elections of 10 University Court members from among AMU ‘Donors’ till January 31, 2021.

A committee was constituted under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor, Professor Mansoor to conduct the elections in October 2020.

“Various web based platforms for conducting elections are available and there is a need to review and make amendments and necessary changes in the existing rules of election of this category. Changes will be made accordingly with suggestions of the members of the donors category,” said AMU Registrar, Mr Abdul Hamid (IPS).

He added that switching to new methods after suggestions will make the polling process more fair, transparent and smooth.
