AMU Vice Chancellor releases 36th issue of Prachyaprajna

Aligarh : Professor Naima Khatoon, Vice Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) released the 36th issue of Prachyaprajna, a peer reviewed research journal of the Department of Sanskrit, AMU.

The issue carries research oriented papers in Sanskrit, Hindi and English, written by the faculty members and research scholars from AMU as well as those of other well-known institutions of the country. “The scholars of other departments like Arabic, Hindi and Education have also contributed research papers which are interdisciplinary in nature and related to Sanskrit literature”, stated Prof. Himanshu Shekhar Acharya, the Chief Editor.

He further said that Prachyaprajna has been spreading the messages of the ancient Vedic seers as well as modern Sanskrit poets and scholars, from the very beginning.

According to him, the journal also aims at guiding the readers how to strike a balance in the acquisition of Dharma (righteousness), Artha (earning wealth) and Kama (fulfillment of desires), which ultimately leads to cessation of sufferings (Moksha).

Prof. Mohammad Sharif and Dr. Sarika Varshney are the editors of the 36th issue of the journal. Dr. Hem Bala and Dr. Zafar Iftekhar were present in the release ceremony.
