AMU’s JN Medical College receives Rs 2.5 lakh in donation

Aligarh: The Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has received Rs. 2.5 lakh from two donors for the purchase of PPE kits for the safety of healthcare staff during the treatment of Covid-19 patients.

Mr Iqbal Ahmed Khan (CEO, Fajr Capital, Dubai), has donated Rs two lakh. The amount was handed over to the Vice-Chancellor Prof Tariq Mansoor by Mr Iqbal’s brother Mr tahir Kabir.

Finance Officer AMU Prof SM Jawed Akhtar and Mr Vivek Bansal were also present on the occasion.

Prof Rafiqul Zaman Khan (Department of Computer Science, AMU) has donated an amount of Rs 50,000/- in memory of his late father Mr Abdul Sattar Khan.

Prof Tariq Mansoor thanked and appreciated Mr. Iqbal Ahmad Khan and Prof Rafiqul Zaman Khan for their exemplary commitment to humanity.
