AMU’s Paramedical College gets new Principal

ALIGARH  : Prof Qazi Ehsan Ali, Department of Anaesthesiology, J.N. Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University has been appointed Principal, Paramedical College, AMU for a period of one year or till further orders, with effect from June 1, 2024.

Prof Ali did MBBS in 1990 and MD in Anaesthesiology in 1994 from J.N. Medical College, and joined the Institute of Ophthalmology as a lecturer of anaesthesiology in 1998.

He has published more than 70 research papers in the journals of national and international repute including the Anaesthesia Analgesia, Journal of Clinical Anaesthesia, Minerva Anesthesiologica, Acta Anaesthesiologica Taiwanica, Revista Brasileira de Anestesiologia, Indian Journal of Anaesthesia, Journal of Anaesthesiology and Clinical Pharmacology and Sri Lankan Journal of Anaesthesia.

His thrust area includes Airway Management, Trauma Resuscitation and Emergency medicine, Acute and Chronic Pain management, and critical care management.

He has been honoured with “Dr S Radhakrishnan Distinguished Professor and Researcher Award 2023,” by Center for Professional Advancement, certified by Niti Aayog, Government of India. He has acquired Ashwamegh Fellowship in Emergency Medicine under Faculty Development Programme certified by AIIMS, New Delhi and WHO South-East Asia. He has also received National Academy of Indian Scientist Award for completing the short-term training from AIIMS, New Delhi.

He has served as the Secretary, Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists, Aligarh Branch (2020-22) and Chairman, Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, JNMC.
