AMU’s “Parwaaz” Job Fair Soars to Empower Women

 

Aligarh : Taking a significant stride in promoting gender inclusivity and the empowerment of women, the Training and Placement Office (General), in partnership with Aligarh Muslim University’s Women’s College, hosted “Parwaaz,” an exclusive job fair designed to uplift women in their professional journeys. The event, held on September 17 at Women’s College, aligns with the G20’s mission to champion gender equality and women’s economic empowerment.

Leading organizations, including Cambay Healthcare, Delhi Public School, IIMT and others participated, the event as a commitment to fostering gender diversity in the workforce.

Prof. Naima Gulrez, the Principal of Women’s College, praised “Parwaaz” and attributed its success to the dedication of student coordinators and volunteers. She emphasized AMU’s commitment to empowering women and nurturing their professional growth, while highlighting the college’s illustrious history of achievements.

Mr. Saad Hameed, Training & Placement Officer (General), noted that “Parwaaz” garnered approximately 1,000 registrations, reflecting the enthusiasm among women to excel professionally and the urgent need for such platforms. The job fair saw impressive participation which anticipates good job offers.

The Associate Training and Placement Officers, Dr. Suhaila Parveen and Dr. Muzammil Mushtaq, elaborated the event’s mission of providing a platform for women to ascend and commended the collective efforts of volunteers and participating companies.

The event also featured addresses from Dr. Salma Shaheen and Prof. Salma Ahmed, highlighting the importance of women’s empowerment and education.

Mr. Fainan Khwaja, Vice President of Cambay Healthcare and sponsor of “Parwaaz,” expressed confidence in the potential of AMU students.
