Analytics fest, Spectra 2020, at IIMB on Dec 22

Bangalore: The Analytics Society of students of the two-year MBA programme at IIM Bangalore is organizing the second edition of Spectra, on December 22. This one-day event aims to keep up with the changing dynamics of the real world by introducing a new way of logical thinking. Spectra combines analytics with fun and aims to generate excitement among the participants.

Spectra’s flagship event is ‘Bits & Bytes’, an analytics case competition, in association with Affine Analytics, a Data Sciences & AI services provider. ‘Bits & Bytes’ is a nationwide case competition with participation from top business schools and engineering colleges across the country. This case competition will provide great exposure to the students of working on real time problem statements, which will prove to be essential in supplementing their learning during their remaining course period.

The event would witness talks by the Affine team on ‘How is AI Transforming Analytics Today’ and ‘Analytics Translation’, and also a panel discussion on ‘Women in AI’ which will be presided by the women leadership team of Affine.

Alongside the case competition, Spectra would also host several on spot events such as ‘Mock Stock’ – an event testing application of analytics in the stock market, ‘Venn & Where’ – a fun-filled way to solve a mystery with the help of analytical clues , and ‘Character Match’ – a personality trait matching booth.
