Anant Announces Anant Summer IsCool – A Cool New Way to Introduce Young Minds to the World of Design
Ahmedabad : Anant National University announces the launch of Anant Summer IsCool, an innovative programme designed to introduce school children and educators to the dynamic world of design. Aligned with India’s National Education Policy, which emphasises the importance of nurturing critical thinking and creativity in education, Anant Summer IsCool is the first-of-its-kind initiative to engage students and educators in a comprehensive design experience.
The field of design extends far beyond the common perception of mere ornamentation and aesthetics. It is a discipline that merges creativity with critical thinking, fosters an interdisciplinary understanding of community, integrates technology and prepares individuals to become adept problem solvers. To foster these skills, Anant Summer IsCool has invited school students to the university’s campus to learn Design Thinking and equip them with the skills necessary to become proficient problem solvers. This programme marks a significant shift from traditional rote learning methods, encouraging participants to innovate and approach problems with a solution-oriented mindset.
In addition to students, Anant Summer IsCool extends an invitation to educators, providing them with the tools and knowledge required to integrate Design Thinking into their teaching methodologies.
The summer school will immerse participants in design through five hands-on workshops led by distinguished designers and experienced Anant faculty. The Graphic Design workshop will cover the basics of graphic design, while the Animation workshop will teach stop-motion animation. In the Product Design workshop, participants will create robots, toys, and basic AR-VR products. The Photography workshop will introduce digital photography, including image editing. Lastly, the Design Experiences workshop will explore designing spaces to enhance human experiences.

Anant National University, India’s first DesignX university, is dedicated to training students to devise solutions for global problems through creative thinking.
