Anant National University announces its last day of admission for its post-graduate programme – Journalism in Built Environment.
Ahmedabad : Anant National University, India’s first DesignX University, announces the last day of admission for its programme postgraduate Diploma in Journalism in Built Environment. This unique one-year diploma strives to equip students with the multidisciplinary skills to write, narrate and articulate the continuously evolving challenges of making the Built Environment (BE) better, safer, and sustainable. The last day to apply for the programme is 30th July 2023.
The course is tailored for students of architecture, design, urban planning, town planning, environment management and protection or anyone with keen interest in built environment: to prepare them for a career in journalism as specialist reporters, opinion writers, columnists, and editors. Or, in the entrepreneurial spirit, students can go solo on their own too.
The curriculum is designed to bring the real world into the classroom and introduce students to writing about challenges of the built environment that impact individuals and members of the larger communities. Lectures follow the format of news conferences with Q&As; students make regular visits to BE hotspots and newsrooms of print, radio & TV outlets. Students will also be working on a lab newspaper, ‘The Grid, ’ which will bring real-time experience to challenge them as reporters, editors, designers and producers with the same pressures of deadlines facing newsrooms worldwide. Students will close the academic year with a capstone project.
