Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education Organizes The 6th Meeting of The AP Higher Education Planning Board
The Sixth Meeting of the Andhra Pradesh Higher Education Planning Board is going to be held at VIT-AP University on the 3rd and 4th of March 2024. The theme of this significant meeting is ‘Nurturing Vibrant Research and Innovation Ecosystem in Universities’. VIT-AP University, thus, becomes the first private university in the state to get the honour of hosting such an event.
The proceedings of the meeting will be set in motion with the opening remarks by the Chairman of Andhra Pradesh HEPB, Prof. K. Hemachandra Reddy followed by messages by the Vice Chancellor of VIT-AP University, Prof. S.V. Kota Reddy, Principal Secretary to Govt. Sri J. Syamala Rao, IAS, and the Guest of Honour Dr. Buddha Chandrasekhar, Chief Coordinating Officer, AICTE. Hon’ble Minister of Education, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, Sri Botcha Satyanarayana would adorn the chair as the Distinguished Guest whereas, Prof. T. G. Sitaram, Chairman of All India Council for Technical Education would be the Chief Guest and G. Viswanathan, the Founder and Chancellor VIT-AP University will also be present on this occasion.
All the Vice-Chancellor of state universities, Central universities, Deemed Universities, Private Universities and the Directors of Central institutions established in the state of Andhra Pradesh are attending the meeting. The discussion on the theme will be held in 5 sessions and a policy document will be prepared on promoting the Research and innovation ecosystem in Universities based on the deliberations.
