ANMOL to empower Auxiliary Nursing Midwives in J&K: Atal Dulloo
Jammu; As a step towards digitizing the health records in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the government is going to provide android tablets to all ANMs working at Sub-centres besides Health and Wellness Centres for implementation of ANMOL, ANM Online software application to register and update service delivery data of beneficiaries on real-time basis.
Pertinently, ANMOL has been designed to strengthen the RCH services and help the ANMs in their day to day work as a job aid tool, which generates due work list and readily available work plans.
Financial Commissioner, Health & Medical Education, Atal Dulloo, while elaborating on the initiative, said that ANMOL will empower the Auxiliary Nursing Midwives in Jammu and Kashmir. He informed that providing android tablets to ANMs for implementing ANM Online (ANMOL) will increase transparency and empower the ANMs for more prompt data entry and its updation for overall improvement of data quality since the data will be entered “at source” by service providers and will also act as an IEC tool during outreach sessions.
He also informed that UT level training for ANMOL has already been completed and for further roll out, UT is waiting for delivery of 4400 Android Tablets required for UT level launch of the programme.
He informed that Mission Director, National Health Mission and Directors Health Services, Jammu and Kashmir have been asked to initiate all steps needed for smooth implementation of this new initiative for strengthening the peripheral healthcare delivery system in J&K to realize the goal of Comprehensive Primary Healthcare component of Ayushmaan Bharat.
