Annual Day Celebrated at Amity International School, Saket

Senior School students of Amity International School (AIS), Saket celebrated their Annual Day ‘Veer Yodha’ with a bouquet of heroic tales from across the Nation. Dr Rashmi Singh (IAS) Secretary, NDMC, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

In her address, Dr Rashmi Singh congratulated the school on the grand success of the annual day and the well-rounded development of the students excelling in all fields as showcased by the bevy of accolades won by the students. Dr Singh also encouraged students not to be silent spectators to problems but try and devise solutions and become warriors to fight social issues. Referring to the recent heinous crimes being reported from all over India against women, she asked students to be strong and identify one’s negative thoughts and work around them to be positive. She also averred that safety, security and health of the society need children with a healthy mindset and thoughts.

Guest of honour Sri S.S. Kohli, Scientist ‘G’, Department of Science and Technology, also applauded and appreciated the diverse display of talent and the noteworthy endeavor of the school towards accomplishing excellence.

Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity International Schools, highlighted the endeavor of the entire school team navigated by Principal Ms. Divya Bhatia towards setting up high benchmarks. Commenting on the well-orchestrated performance by 850 students, she shared with the parents how the school encourages student participation in such programmes to make them embrace arts and also be aware about the valor of our freedom fighters.

The school choir along with the Amitasha students put up an enthralling and melodious performance interspersed with martial arts display. The Annual report presented by the Principal and the Student Council provided a glimpse into the multifarious annual achievements of Amity International School, Saket. The special prizes were also awarded to the achievers, encouraging each one towards higher summits of glory.

The highlight of the evening was the play ‘Veer Yodha’, which exhibited the glorious contributions of our heroes empowering the mystical journey of this nation. The compelling amalgamation of dialogues, drama and dance in sync with the eye catching costumes was indeed electrifying and captivating.

The evening witnessed the presence of a huge audience of enthusiastic parents, siblings and grandparents who applauded the scintillating performance of the school and the cultural evening put up by the students.
