Annual Hall Function at Sir Syed Hall (South) Celebrated

 

Aligarh : Sir Syed Hall (South) at Aligarh Muslim University celebrated its Annual Hall function on May 25 at the historic Strachey Hall. The event was a testament to the rich traditions and values of AMU.

In his introductory address, the Provost of the hall, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Dar, encouraged students to uphold the university’s customs and traditions. He outlined the objectives of the Annual Hall Function, emphasizing the importance of preserving academic traditions.

Professor Naima Khatoon, Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, presided over the event. She commended the hall administration and the organizing team for orchestrating the event and stressed the significance of human values and the preservation of academic traditions in her address.

The Chief Guest, Professor Mohammad Rizwan Khan from the Department of English at AMU, shared his insights and experiences with the attendees. He highlighted the distinctive tradition of AMU and emphasized on the importance of personality development and personal growth.

Professor Rafiuddin, Dean of Students’ Welfare (DSW), attended the event as Special Guest. He congratulated the residents of Sir Syed Hall (South) for organizing such a significant function in a peaceful atmosphere.

Professor Badrujudda Khan, Principal at Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College, AMU, focused on the importance of education, community, and tradition in shaping the future of students.

Abdul Matin, Senior Hall, extended greetings to all attendees for their participation. He presented the Annual Hall report and credited the event’s success to the collective efforts of residents, the organizing committee, volunteers, post holders, and hall staff. Arish Azhar, Senior Food Monitor, extended a heartfelt vote of thanks, concluding the memorable event.
