Anupriya Patel to inaugurate Spices Mahotsav & Buyer Seller Meet in Mirzapur

 

Mirzapur : Spices Mahotsav & Buyer Seller Meet organized by Spices Board is all set to be inaugurated today by Hon’ble Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Anupriya Patel in Chunar, Mirzapur. The initiative establishes a platform fostering improved commerce and trade, specifically designed to facilitate direct collaborations between spice farmers in Uttar Pradesh and exporters from all over the country. This strategic approach aims to streamline and enhance the trading process, benefiting both the agricultural producers and the broader export market.

In addition to its primary objectives, the event aims to disseminate crucial information on post-harvest improvement, quality and safety standards, as well as various schemes and programs implemented by different departments. The overarching goal is to facilitate direct linkages between spice growers and exporters, ensuring better price realization for the growers. Anticipating a turnout of around 700 participants, including Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), progressive farmers, farmer’s societies, processors, traders from Uttar Pradesh and exporters from across the country, the program is poised to be a significant convergence for the spice industry.

 

The event will also witness the presence of notable personalities such as Ram Shakal, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Anurag Patel, Honourable MLA, Shri D. Sathiyan, IFS, Secretary, Spices Board India, along with officials of Spices Board, CSIR-CIMAP, ICAR-IIVR, APEDA, DGFT, DIC, FFDC, and State Agri and Horti Departments among others
