Apeejay Stya University strikes deal with The Quint to give an edge to its Journalism Students

New Delhi,: The School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Apeejay Stya University (ASU) has collaborated with online major, The Quint, ensuring students’ seamless exposure to the new media know-how. Further to the tie-up, The Quint has now become a Knowledge Partner of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC) at ASU.
Speaking on the development, Mr Nishant Berlia, Pro Chancellor, ASU, said, “This relationship is a real game changer for those studying Journalism at ASU, especially with the increasing dominance of digital news globally. Students will get a chance to spend time in The Quint’s newsroom, learn digital journalism from some of the best in the business, attend workshops and get the opportunity for internships and industry experience.

Ritu Kapur, CEO and Co-Founder of The Quint, who signed the contract with ASU, said “What we have been doing at the newsroom is a lot of experimenting. The idea is not to be scared to fail, but being scared of complacency.” She added that it is the creativity and innovation that makes the medium of news so exciting.
