Hyderabad : Apollo Cancer Centers Hyderabad and Cure Foundation India, celebrated the resilience of cancer survivors on the eve of World Cancer Survivors’ Day at Apollo Cancer Centers, Jubilee Hills, today. The courageous cancer survivors were felicitated for their valiant fight against the dreadful disease and inspiring the cancer patients undergoing treatment, to be optimistic and persevere in their battle.
A symbolic highlight of the event was the unveiling of the “Victory Bell” in the hospital lobby by caretakers and survivors, a gesture representing triumph over cancer and hope for those still undergoing treatment. To honour their journey, all participants were felicitated with gifts and souvenirs, adding a special touch to the celebration.
The event featured inspiring interactions between cancer survivors and patients, fostering a sense of community and shared strength. Caretakers and survivors shared their poignant stories, underscoring the power of positivity and resilience in the face of cancer. Dr. Vijay Anand Reddy, Director, Apollo Cancer Hospital; highlighted his experiences, praising the indomitable spirit of his patients. “Throughout my journey with cancer patients, I have witnessed unparalleled resilience and bravery. They have consistently shown that a positive outlook can be a formidable ally in the battle against cancer,” he remarked.
