A traveling international seminar on the project of the Karelia Cross-Border Cooperation Program KA5041 “Green technologies in tourism to reduce the negative impact on the environment” was held on March 23, 2021.
The event was aimed at studying the best practices of using modern energy and nature saving equipment in the tourism sector of Finland and the Republic of Karelia.
The opportunity to communicate with Finnish colleagues and learn their experience was provided on the ZOOM platform. The field event was attended by the students of the training area “Construction” under the guidance of associate professors of the Department of Technology and Organization of Construction of the Institute of Forestry, Mining and Construction Sciences L.A. Devyatnikova, E.G. Emelyanova, Yu.V. Nikonova.
Project manager KA 5041 “Green technologies in the field of tourism to reduce the negative impact on the environment” S.N. Koshelev presented the results of the project implementation at the facilities of the Urozero educational and health center .
Sergey Nikolaevich Koshelev spoke about the importance of the energy audit of the Urozero educational center, which was carried out at the initial stage, which made it possible to identify shortcomings and explain the unjustifiably high energy costs.
His report turned out to be understandable to all listeners, even those who had no experience in the design or operation of engineering support of buildings, contained a lot of analytical information and data on the economic effect of the applied technologies.
During the organized excursion, the equipment installed in the Urozero educational center was also shown. The students were impressed with the results and analysis of thermal imaging of buildings. Studying the thermal behavior of a building provides future designers and builders with invaluable experience for the correct and energy-efficient design of buildings.
The result of the work carried out and planned will not only preserve the unique nature of Urozer and increase the comfort for residents, but also an economic effect: within a year of work in the changed engineering conditions, electricity costs have decreased by almost 800,000 rubles. in year. This is a compelling argument for implementing energy saving measures.
Karelian and Finnish specialists spoke about green technologies and equipment, features of selection and operation, benefits of use. Specific examples of the application of “green” technologies with economic assessment methods were presented.
