Application process starts for the 8th Visitor’s Award
ALIGARH : The Ministry of Education, Government of India has invited applications from faculty members and researchers of the central universities for the 8th Visitor’s Award, which is meant to recognize their excellence in research and innovation and motivate them to adopt best practices from around the world in pursuit of excellence.
A notification forwarded to the Aligarh Muslim University by the Ministry of Education reads that it has to submit the recommended names for final selection of awardees to the President’s Secretariat for President’s approval of the names of 8th Visitor’s awardees under 3 categories: Visitor’s Award for Innovation, Visitor’s Award for Research (in three segments: Humanities/Arts/Social Sciences, Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences) and Visitor’s Award for Technology Development.
The online filing of application through the Rashtriya Puraskar Portal, http://awards.gov.in, an initiative of MHA, has begun from January 1 and will remain open up to February 7, 2024.
The President in her capacity as the Visitor of the central universities will present the award.
