Arrangements for two day cultural fest finalised in Rajouri

 

RAJOURI : The arrangements for two day cultural fest being organised on 28th and 29th August in Rajouri were today finalised here in a meeting chaired by District Development Commissioner, Rajesh K Shavan.

The Deputy Commissioner informed that the District Administration Rajouri is going to host a 2-day mega Cultural festival this month end to promote and showcase local heritage and culture.

The Deputy Commissioner also informed that the local artists, as well as the artists from outside UT, would participate in the event. The event will include a cultural programme to be organised in the Lawns of the PWD Dak Bungalow and a Mushaira which will be held in the auditorium of the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University.

The concerned officers were asked to put in place added efforts and ensure that all the arrangements are made well in time for the smooth and successful conduct of the event. They were also directed to ensure strict adherence to COVID related SOPs during the event to avoid COVID19 Infection risk.

Meanwhile, during the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner also took a detailed review of the developmental scenario of the district and passed necessary directions to the concerned officers for mobilising their men and machinery for greater public benefit.

The District Development Commissioner directed the Executive Engineers of different Departments to conduct regular monthly meetings of the field staff to review the progress of the developmental projects and ensure quality while executing the work on the projects.

The concerned officers from the PWD were asked to ensure that all the roads within the municipal limits are blacktopped within the shortest possible time to ensure public convenience.

The District Development Commissioner asked the Chief Medical Officer to ensure that all the eligible beneficiaries are registered under the SEHAT scheme.

The Chief Medical Officer was also directed to speed up the vaccination of 18-44 age group and ensure that all the eligible beneficiaries are vaccinated within the shortest possible time.
