Arrangements for Urs Ziti-Shah-Wali reviewed at Kupwara

Kupwara: The District Administration Kupwara headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Nazir Ahmad Lone today convened a meeting here to review arrangements put in place for smooth celebration of Urs Hazrat Ziti-e-Shah Wali (RA) on January 27 and 28 at Muqam-i-Shah Wali Drugmulla.

The ADC directed the concerned officers to place all arrangements beforehand so that devotees do not have to face any inconvenience during the Urs period.

The Engineers of Jal Shakti and PDD were directed to provide uninterrupted water and power supply during the Urs period. While as, R&B engineer was directed to ensure proper maintenance of roads leading to the shrine. AD, Food was directed to keep adequate quantity of ration available at food stores of the area.

The BMO was directed to depute the Medical team along with necessary medicare equipment during the Urs. Likewise, DFO Kehmil was asked to ensure availability of firewood at the venue for the said purpose.

Meanwhile, the Police department was asked to make adequate security arrangements in the area.
