Array of activities mark culmination of first round of B2V4 in Kishtwar
Special Gram sabhas held to finalise GPDPs
KISHTWAR : The first leg of Back to Village edition fourth, which started on October 29, 2022, culminated today in district Kishtwar amid a series of activities carried out by line departments with mass involvement of people and under the close supervision of Visiting officers deputed in each Panchayat and under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Dr Devansh Yadav.
The first phase of the B2V4 was conducted across 57 Panchayats out of total 136 panchayats of the district.
On the second day today, Deputy Commissioner, Dr Devansh Yadav presided over the special Gram Sabha at Panchayat Ghar Dharbi of Panchayat Bhagna B block Nagseni.
During the Maha gram sabha, the Gram Panchayat Development plan 2023-24 was finalised in presence of local PRIs and local public. The DC also listened to the grievances of people. The visiting officer, Ajay Talwar recorded the public grievances, while the DC assured them that their genuine demands will be resolved through the intervention of concerned departments in a time bound manner.
Meanwhile, the visiting officer was asked to assess the achievements under the projected works under B2V-l,ll and lll
Later, the DC along with the ZEO Nagseni and field functionaries of different departments visited Government Middle School Dharbi where he inaugurated the newly established Kindergarten.
During the interaction with the staff of the school, the DC stressed upon the teachers to achieve the key deliverables of the education sector in the areas with special focus on the enrollment of school dropouts and ensuring the implementation of PM-Poshan ( MDM) in the school.
At Panchayat Chingam A and Chingam C of Block Inderwal the ADDC Kishtwar accompanied by SDM Chatroo Inderjeet Parihar and BDO Inderwal Tasleem Wani inaugurated a Rural Haat.
He also interacted with the Visiting Officer, PRIs, representatives of different Departments and locals and sought details of activities going on during B2V4 programme and how they are benefitting the general public. He also presented a Disaster Management Kit to Panchayat and Sports kit to Senior Citizen club of the Panchayat provided by the Social Welfare Department.
Besides, he also distributed land passbooks to beneficiaries of Panchayat under Apki Zameen Apki Nigrani and participated in a plantation drive along with officials of the Forest Department.
Meanwhile, he inspected a Path at Shangam constructed by RDD Inderwal under ADP 22-23 and another ongoing work of Kishtwar Development Authority on NH 244 in the same panchayat.
At Panchayat Chingam C, he participated in Gram Sabha and interacted with the general public and inaugurated the Panchayat Secretariat established by RDD Inderwal.
He also distributed Golden cards and E-Shram cards among beneficiaries of the Panchayat and concluded the visit after visiting village Buttgam en-route NH 244 where he inaugurated HomeStay under Mission Youth J&K established recently for tourists.
En-route, he interacted with students of GDC Chatroo who are on an exposure visit organised under B2V4 prog.
The ADDC, along with all other officers, also participated in Gram Sabha at Panchayat Ghar Chingam C where he briefed participants about GPDP and other related matters. Huge public participation was witnessed in the Gram Sabha.
During the two days, multifarious activities were carried out by the line departments under the supervision of Visiting officers which included Special Gram Sabhas to finalise the GPDP 2023-24, assessment of developmental works, inspection of developmental works including Amrit Sarovars and functioning of Govt institutions in the concerned Panchayats. Special Bal-Sabhas, Mahila Sabhas were also conducted in all the 57 Panchayats.
