Artificial Intelligence in Medicine: Moscow’s Digital Diagnostics Journal Attracts Global Audience

The 10th issue of the Digital Diagnostics Journal features original research, clinical cases of interest to doctors, and 9 articles on various medical topics, including the role of artificial intelligence in clinical physiology “Artificial Intelligence Systems in Clinical Physiology: How to Make Their Training Effective?”. The journal has published over 80 articles on scientific and medical topics, many of which focus on the use of artificial intelligence in medicine. The publication is available in three languages: Russian, Chinese, and English. The journal’s editors conducted an analysis of downloads abroad and discovered that China is the leading country in terms of downloading the magazine, followed by the United States and Germany. Over the past two years, the journal’s articles have been downloaded in China more than 9,000 times. The most cited article, “MosMedData: Dataset of 1110 Computed Tomography of the Chest Organs Performed During the COVID-19 Epidemic,” has been cited by 43 foreign authors.
The scientific journal Digital Diagnostics is published by the Center for Diagnostics and Telemedicine of the Moscow Health Department. The journal’s editorial board includes a scientist from Beijing, Professor Li, who is a Doctor of Medical Sciences and the Head of the Center for Medical Radiology. All articles in the journal have a translation of the abstract into Chinese, and the electronic version includes a full-text translation.
The introduction of computer vision in medicine is a promising direction, and the Digital Diagnostics Journal has significant experience in this area. For three years, a scientific experiment on the introduction of computer vision into radiation diagnostics has been underway, resulting in the development and implementation of unique scientific methodologies. These methodologies have been used to prepare more than 200 reference data sets, 11 national standards in the field of artificial intelligence in healthcare, 10 of which are already in force. As of March 2023, Digital Diagnostics has been included in Scopus, a multidisciplinary database of scientific publications and citations. The journal contains original research, systematic scientific reviews, technical reports, case studies, and other useful materials for the medical community in the field of diagnostics and digital technologies.
