Assessment Camp for Specially abled persons started across Doda
DODA : Department of Social Welfare Doda has started holding Assessment Camps for Specially abled persons in the District , starting with Thathri, where the first camp was held today.
All the persons identified in these camps will be provided different types of prosthetic aid free of cost by the Social Welfare Department in collaboration with ALIMCO.
The assessment camps are being held under the Assistance to Disabled Persons (ADIP) programme in Collaboration with Artificial Limbs Corporation of India (ALIMCO).
Around 43 persons were checked for different prosthetic aids by the team of ALIMCO in presence of Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Thathri and other staff members from the Social Welfare Department.
The differently abled persons were also made aware about the welfare schemes run by the Department for their welfare.
As per the TSWO similar kind of assessment camp will be organised across the district at different locations for which the schedule for the general public information has already been circulated in print and electronic media.
