ASSOCHAM welcomes the National Education Policy 2020

New Delhi: ASSOCHAM welcomes the National Education Policy 2020 and inclusion of 3 year pre schooling before formal education. For quality education strong foundation is important and in this regard ASSOCHAM had initiated national campaign Pehle Preschool. Mr. Tamal Mukherjee Chairman School Education ASSOCHAM for Eastern Region and Director Little Laureate said it’s an important step towards ensuring quality education as he hailed extension of right to education to cover all children between three and 18 years of age.

3 years ago ASSOCHAM along with Little Laureates initiated program “PEHLE PRESCHOOL” for making Preschool Education compulsory has got its recognition with the New Education Policy as this is the 1st time, 3 years Pre-schooling has been officially announced.

Mr. Taranjit Singh Co Chairman Eastern Region and MD JIS Group said ASSOCHAM welcomes the policy whole heartedly as it was long overdue and formation of Higher Education Council of India for higher education regulation in the country is a welcome step. He said for holistic development the measures suggested in the policy are good. Providing undergraduates with several options and focusing on multi disciplinary form of learning shall certainly help students.

Mrs. Perminder Jeet Kaur Regional Director said it’s an all encompassing policy and several issues and suggestions as made by the industry members and stakeholders have been duly considered.
