Aster DM Healthcare launches ‘My India, Healthy India’, a community initiative as part of India@75 celebrations
New Delhi : A new health care initiative “My India, Healthy India” was launched by Aster DM Healthcare, the largest network of integrated healthcare provider in GCC and India to mark 75 years of progressive India. The initiative mobilized with the help of Aster Volunteers, the global CSR arm of Aster DM Healthcare highlighted the importance of building a productive nation that is backed by healthy citizens.
The campaign jump-started with Asterians hosting several distinct physical activities across Aster hospitals, pharmacies, and labs in India on the 15th of August. The activities that began shortly after the flag hoisting ceremony included 75 minutes of either yoga, walkathon or a Zumba session organized at Aster facilities in Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra.
According to one of India’s largest studies1 on people’s physical activity, more than half of the urban Indians assume inadequate levels of physical activity, making them susceptible to diabetes, hypertension, and other non-communicable diseases. To change unhealthy habits, small and daily tweaks in lifestyle can make a huge difference in people’s life.

We will be supporting this through many awareness campaigns and free and subsidized tests and treatments.”
Through the campaign, more than 10,000 Asterians across its branches and more than 2000 citizens advocated the need for significant lifestyle changes through nutrition and exercise for an overall holistic approach to health.
