Aston Business School Executive MBA Achieves 87th Place in Global Rankings

The overall ranking methodology is based on a combination of career outcomes, diversity, employer reputation, executive profile and thought leadership.

The programme has also been placed 24th globally for career outcomes, measured by the average salary increase pre to post programme and the percentage of the cohort receiving promotions within 12 months of graduating.

Executive MBA programmes bring together seasoned professionals from a variety of industries, functions and world regions. Designed with flexibility in mind, the Aston Business School programme has an emphasis on practical application and real-world business problems, fostering the ability to think strategically and lead effectively.

A unique, differentiating feature of the Aston MBA is a personal development programme known as the Aston Edge, which acts as a common thread running throughout the entire course, focusing on the development of key leadership and personal skills highly sought after by employers and based on the latest thinking in behavioural science.

This is the latest accolade for Aston Business School, following its recent re-accreditation for a further five years by the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS). EQUIS is an internationally recognised accreditation body ensuring continuous improvement and quality within business schools.

Being awarded reaccreditation for the maximum period of five years consolidated the School’s position in the one per cent of business schools that hold triple-crown accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and EQUIS.

In its report, the EQUIS peer review team identified that a key strength of Aston Business School’s programmes is their strong focus on employability.

Professor Aleks Subic, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of Aston University, said:

“Our prestigious global Executive MBA programme features a dynamic curriculum, experiential learning, global perspectives and outstanding student experience. It develops entrepreneurial leaders that will make a significant and positive impact in the world.

“This latest rise in international ranking is clear evidence that the industry-relevant skills and qualifications that our students – current and future executives – gain during their studies means that Aston University EMBA graduates have a competitive edge in the job market and progress quickly to high-value jobs and well-remunerated leadership roles.”
