Aston University is to host the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) Central annual conference.

The face-to-face event, titled Industrial Revolution 4.0, will take place at Conference Aston on 12 September 2022.

Speakers include Lord Arbuthnot, Claudia Natanson (chair of Trustees – UK Cyber Security Council) and Pat Ryan (CyberGirls First).

Themes of the conference include ransomware, levelling-up and changing human behaviours with a number of breakout sessions planned through the day.

Professor Vladlena Benson, director of the CSI Centre at Aston Business School, said:

“The fourth industrial revolution is transforming the world around us and the pace of change has only been accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I am looking forward to joining IIA Midlands and ISACA Central UK to explore how the cloud, data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) are remaking the world around us, and how the disciplines of cyber security and business continuity are essential to help us succeed in the face of both new and old risks.

“This is a great opportunity for those interested in cyber to join a fantastic day of learning, knowledge sharing and networking.”
