Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Convention Centre of Jiwaji University dedicated

Bhopal : Governor and Chancellor Smt. Anandiben Patel has said that university should create a strong environment for employment capacity assistance in curriculum. Apprenticeship and internship programmes should be included in degree courses. Governor Smt. Patel was addressing the inaugural programme of the newly built Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Convention Centre of Jiwaji University online today from Raj Bhavan Lucknow. Smt. Patel also remembered Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his birth anniversary. Governor Smt. Patel said that the university should provide appropriate culture of self-reliance and education to students. She said that the construction of the Convention Centre reflects New India’s vision, economic progress through world-class infrastructure, rich cultural heritage and commitment to environment conservation. She expressed hope that the centre will become a platform to showcase the creative talent of the students as well as the youth of the region and help in the development of folk art, culture, business as well as knowledge and science.

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan participated in the inaugural programme, online from Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that on the occasion of the birthday of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya ji, the State Government has restarted the Pratibha Protsahan Yojana to encourage students and to develop a competitive spirit in them. The Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Convention Centre is also a step in this direction. Government of Madhya Pradesh is always with the students. Cooperation to students in achieving the goal is the responsibility of the state government. The convention centre will provide world class facilities and new opportunities to the youth of Gwalior-Chambal region. Now our aim should be that this university should also be included in the first hundred universities of the country. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan encouraged the students to build a strong and self-reliant Madhya Pradesh and India by developing the organizational skills, taking inspiration from the struggles of life of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Shri Chouhan said that it is a matter of good fortune that this centre is named after the late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He congratulated and extended best wishes for the inauguration of the convention centre.

Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Food Processing, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Shri Narendra Singh Tomar said that this Convention Centre is a major achievement for the University as well as Gwalior. Rajya Sabha Member Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, while participating online in the programme, said that the International Convention Centre will bring name and fame to the Jiwaji University at the world level. Minister for Higher Education Shri Mohan Yadav also extended the best wishes. Minister for Energy Shri Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Minister for Horticulture, Food Processing and Narmada Valley Development Shri Bharat Singh Kushwaha, Member of Parliament Shri Vivek Shejwalkar and Former MLA Shri Munnalal Goyal were present at the programme.
