New Delhi: The Association of Test Publishers, an international, non-profit organization representing providers of tests and assessment tools and services is pleased to announce plans and speakers for the fifth annual India-ATP conference, “Global Standards for Assessments in a Digital First World: A Future Perspective,” to be held 20 December 2019 at the Habitat Centre in New Delhi.
“This conference, which is the only one of its kind in India, focuses on assessment and its importance for both education and the workplace,” noted 2019 India-ATP Chair Divylok Sharma, Senior Director, (Client Development), Pearson VUE. “At India-ATP we bring together educational and workplace leaders so that they can learn together about standards and best practices for assessments, both now and for the future, and develop meaningful working relationships with each other that will be beneficial to India.”
Sharma added, “We are pleased to announce and welcome our Chief Guest for this event, Shri. Manish Sisodia, Honorable Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi.”
Keynote speakers for this event, which will be held in Silver Oak room of India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road include: Dr. Sandhya Chintala, Vice President of the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) and Executive Director of the Sector Skills Council of NASSCOM. The National Association of Software and Service Companies is the chamber of commerce of the IT-BPM Industry. In her role with SSC NASSCOM, Dr. Chintala addresses the Education & Skills Development Initiative of this industry body; Also addressing this year’s delegates is Jaydeep Singh, Founder & CEO of Empass Learning. Empass is an AI-powered Talent Solutions platform focused on digital assessment solutions. Empass helps Enterprise and Academic institutions tackle the issues of hiring, training and employee engagement; And back this year by invitation is Paul Edelblut,Vice President Cognitive Computing, Vantage Labs. In his session, “Eliminating cultural, geographic, and socioeconomic diversity influences in reading assessment” he will address the current limitations of reading comprehension assessments and discuss how an innovative new validation process, (ACE*) leverages functional near infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) to overcome these limitations.
