Auburn University honoured as one of Best Employers for New Graduates by Forbes magazine
For the second consecutive year, Forbes magazine recognized Auburn University as one of the Best Employers for New Graduates.
Forbes reports that the top-ranked companies on their list not only offer competitive pay, but also provide benefits that are important to Gen Z and Millennials – “a reputation of trust, opportunities to learn and a chance to do meaningful work.”
“This recognition is meaningful because it demonstrates that our dedication to excellence and innovation really matters,” President Christopher B. Roberts said. “Our community culture and shared vision of excellence is rooted in the Auburn Creed. The Creed is a real differentiator for our university. Auburn is a remarkable university with tremendous potential for greatness and our faculty and staff know they will be supported in aspirations to be leaders in their fields while educating the next generation of brilliant scholars and citizens who will serve the needs of our communities.”
This is the second year Auburn has achieved this distinction. Forbes has also named Auburn as one of Alabama’s Best Employers in 2021 and as one of America’s Best Midsize Employers in 2017.
Auburn is committed to being a premier employer. The university’s benefits package is highly competitive among state and regional employers.
In addition to health care and retirement benefits, full-time employees receive four weeks of paid vacation each year, paid parental leave, 11 paid holidays, a full tuition waiver for undergraduate and graduate course work, a 50% tuition waiver for spouses and dependents who take undergraduate courses, a zero-dollar co-pay for most generic medications and discounted season tickets for athletics events.
Auburn is also conducting a Compensation Market Study to ensure that employees continue to be paid competitively.
“Every day, our employees positively impact our campus, our state, and the world with their valuable work and contributions,” said Karla McCormick, associate vice president of human resources. “We have committed to providing employees with competitive pay and benefits along with career development opportunities. The latest recognition by Forbes validates that recent graduates and new employees recognize the many advantages of working at Auburn.”
Twenty-eight thousand Americans with less than 10 years of professional experience, and who work for businesses with at least 1,000 employees, were surveyed for the most recent list. They were asked to rate the likelihood that they would recommend their employer to family and friends.
Auburn is hiring for positions at all levels across campus. For more information on how to join the Auburn Family, visit the University Human Resources website.
