Auburn University’s Online Programs Earn Top Rankings in U.S. News & World Report’s National Assessment

Auburn University’s online programs once again were rated among the best in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report rankings that were released on Feb. 7.

Auburn earned several top-10 and top-20 distinctions for graduate, MBA and veterans categories in the magazine’s 2024 Best Online Programs rankings. Chief among them was a No. 6 rank for the Harbert College of Business’ graduate program for veterans and a No. 10 ranking for the College of Education’s overall graduate program.

“Auburn’s online programs are a critical part of our academic mission thanks to their ability to broaden our access to students worldwide,” Provost Vini Nathan said. “Today’s rankings demonstrate our commitment to fostering excellence through access and our ability to transcend teaching and learning beyond the classroom.”

In addition, Auburn’s Harbert College of Business’ graduate program and Business Analytics MBA, as well as the College of Education’s Educational Administration and Supervision graduate program and the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering’s veterans graduate programs, each earned No. 14 rankings. The College of Education’s graduate Curriculum and Instruction program was ranked 17th, and the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering’s overall graduate program earned a No. 19 rank.

The Harbert College of Business’ MBA program came in at No. 22 nationally, as did its MBA program for veterans, while Auburn’s Information Technology graduate program was included among the top 25 at No. 23.

The U.S. News & World Report Best Online Programs rankings are based on factors such as student engagement and excellence, faculty credentials and training, expert opinion and services and technology.
