Audyogik Shikshan Mandal (ASM) Group hosted Tek21@Pune!Skill Conclave 2019

 

Pune, September 4, 2019: Audyogik Shikshan Mandal (ASM) Group, first B-school in India to offer Harvard Business School online courses, hosted Tek21@Pune!Skill Conclave 2019 today in collaboration with Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). The conclave focused on Skill development, Entrepreneurship and Talent transformation was inaugurated by R.K. Singh, AGM – Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) and Dr. Sandeep Pachpande, Chairman, ASM Group. Debi Prasad Dash, Executive Director, India Energy Storage Alliance, Bhupendra Kainthola, Director, Film & Television Institute of India, Fronius India, Rounak Muthiyan, Founder, Kalpa Power, Avi Kulkarni, CEO, Smart Cookies, Jaiprakash Shroff, Managing Director & Chairman, Shroff Group, Zelam Chaubal, Director, Kesari Tours, Sanjyot Khare, Head-Technical Learning, Zensar, Pune-14, India and Dr. Prakash Bakshi, ex-Chairman of NABARD, spoke at the conclave.

Commenting on the conclave, Dr. Sandeep Pachpande, Chairman, ASM Group, said, “Almost every sector is suffering due to the shortage of skilled professionals. Need of the hour is to forge closer ties between academia and the industry to ensure the gap is addresses while they are studying. The discussions were relevant and insightful. Look forward to hosting more industry events as part of our focus to ensure every aspect of what we do in our institutes is industry aligned.” “Recently we have launched our executive education division and we have come up with the concept of this new curriculum where you get the top of the content online from Harvard, IIMB, IBM, SAP and Amazon in blended mode”, he added.

In his talk, Sasi Anand, National Manager, Training and Engineering, Fronius India Pvt. Ltd., said, “Welding is closely related to manufacturing but not getting the required attention as its considered a blue-collar job. We need young blood in this industry who understand the technology well but the average age of the workforce is 50-55 years.”

The conclave culminated with the first-ever awards for Excellence in Learning & development given away to Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd., SIDBI, Finolex, Alpha Laval India Ltd., Zensar Technologies Ltd., Sany Heavy Industry India Pvt.
