Augnito partners with DigiSwasthya to make healthcare accessible in rural India
Mumbai: As part of its CSR initiative, Augnito, India’s 1st advanced medical Voice AI solution partners with DigiSwasthya, a health tech non-profit organization in making medical help accessible in rural India.
The need of the hour is to address challenges from where they arise, which is mainly in the rural areas where a lack of awareness of health issues and minimal access to healthcare professionals is all-encompassing. Recognising this need, Augnito, India’s 1st advanced medical Voice AI solution powering the healthcare industry, has partnered with DigiSwasthya. As part of its CSR activity, Augnito handed over the keys to a multi-purpose vehicle that can be used for conducting camps in the remotest of areas to DigiSwasthya, a health tech non-profit organization that makes healthcare accessible across rural India.
Talking about the CSR initiative, Rustom Lawyer, Co-Founder & CEO, Augnito said: “At Augnito we believe that access to healthcare is a fundamental right for every human being including rural India and should not just be limited to urban centres. We as a company are aligned with DigiSwasthya’s core vision in making healthcare accessible and affordable across rural India by leveraging technology. It’s my personal belief that it is of crucial importance to have empathy and aid healthcare professionals in India especially during times like these when urgent healthcare is of topmost priority.”
Sandeep Kumar, Founder, Digiswasthya, commented, “On several occasions, we refer a patient to a hospital through our tie ups, but they don’t have the means to reach these hospitals in tier 1 cities. We will be able to use the vehicle to help patients travel longer distances and reach hospitals for secondary and tertiary healthcare services.”
The vehicle will be used for conducting camps in the remotest of areas. DigiSwasthya’s on ground team goes to villages and conducts door to door campaigns through which they spread awareness about telemedicine and on how to avail a tele-consultation through the DigiSwasthya Foundation.
