Avantika University recognized as District Green Champion for the second time in a row

 

Avantika University – The MIT Pune Campus at Ujjain has been recognized as the District Green Champion for Ujjain District, Madhya Pradesh, for the Academic Year 2021-22. The University has been honored with the award for the second time in a row.

The award is given based on assessment criteria like Sustainability on campus, Rural Community Engagement, Rural Internships, and Shaping Social Entrepreneurship in Higher Educational Institutions. The assessment is done by the Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE), the Ministry of Education, and the Government of India.

Manesh Patil, Registrar of Avantika University Ujjain received the award at the hands of Dr. Mohan Yadav, Minister of Higher Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh, in presence of Prof. Akhilesh Kumar Pandey, Vice-Chancellor, Vikram University, Ujjain, and Dr. W. G. Prasanna Kumar, Chairman, MGNCRE.

On receiving the honor for the second time in a row, Manesh Patil, Registrar of Avantika University, said, “The award is a testament to Avantika University’s dedication towards contribution to social responsibility with sheer integrity, aimed at sustainable development. Along with technological and educational evolution, we acknowledge the significance of an inspiring environment and put in continuous efforts to build a Sustainable Campus.
