Awareness camp cum exhibition sale held at Village Tandar
UDHAMPU: As part of the celebration of good governance week, a one day awareness camp cum exhibition sale was organized by Handicrafts and Handloom Development Department Udhampur here at Village Tandar.
BDC Chairman, Chenani Parkash Chand, DDC Councillor, Usha Devi, SDM Chenani, Parvaiz Naik, Sarpanch, Sunita Devi besides general public of the area attended the camp held under the supervision of Assistant Director Handicrafts & Handloom ND Verma.
The PRIs and SDM sensitized the public about various welfare schemes of Handicraft and Handloom department. They asked the public to come forward and avail the maximum benefits of all these schemes.
Representatives of the Agriculture and Labour department also participated and sensitized the participants about various departmental schemes.
Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Director highlighted the schemes run by the Department. He said that the main objective of organizing this camp is to generate awareness among stakeholders about various schemes of the Handicraft and Handloom department.
On the occasion, the exhibition cum sale was also installed in which the guests purchased items worth Rs 2800 for their use. During the camp, the Labour Department also registered the artisans and weavers on E-Shram Portal.
