Awareness cum soft intervention program held at Kishtwar village
KISHTWAR : A mega awareness cum soft intervention program was today organised at village Kwar-Tanji of block Nagseni to educate Project affected Families (PAF) of Pakal Dul Hydroelectric Power Project (HEP) about the Agriculture and allied sector schemes here under Project “SAMPANN”.
The event was held with active participation of PRIs and Self Help Groups of NRLM.
Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Sham Lal presided over the programme which was attended by Chief Animal Husbandry Officer , Dr. Sanjay Kumar Sen; Chief Horticulture Officer, Mushtaq Ahmed Wani, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, S.K. Bhagat, Block Development Officer Nagseni, Abhay Indu Sharma, Officers from key departments, PRIs, Women Self Help Group Members, PAFs.
The Departmental teams distributed Immunity boosters, medical kits, Veterinary medicines like deworming, ionments, mineral mixture, tonics and disposable syringes, besides subsidised Horticulture Equipments and tool kits among the farmers.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC urged the participants especially youth to come forward and avail the benefits of Agriculture and allied sector schemes offered to set up agro based units. He also urged PRIs to act as a bridge between people and government so that benefits of the schemes percolate down to the grassroots level.
Officers from AYUSH, Horticulture and Sheep Husbandry also acquainted the participants about the schemes and technical knowhow about farming.
Meanwhile, the ADDC also inspected the stalls showcasing government schemes of different departments, besides products of SHGs.
Later, the ADDC inspected the land demarcated for establishment of Veterinary Centre under RR Plan of Pakkal Dul HEPP. He directed R&B authorities and CAHO to start the construction work of the centre within two days.
