Awareness event on JKBOCWWB schemes held in Rajouri

 

RAJOURI : An awareness programme on the Welfare of the J&K Building and other Construction Welfare Board (JKBOCWWB) was today organized in the office of the Assistant Labour Commissioner, Rajouri.

The participants were the members of local bodies, contractors, registered construction workers and VLE (CSCs).

Assistant Labour Commissioner, Maneesha addressed the participants regarding the various existing schemes, while Brijnesh Kumari, Assistant Labour Commissioner JKBOCWWB, who was on special visit to the District, highlighted the new schemes launched by the Board.

The main focus of the programme was on spreading awareness, registration, eligibility procedure for registration, renewal and welfare schemes . During the programme an amount of Rs. 2.05 Lakh (Rupees Two Lakh & Five Thousand) was disbursed to the dependents of registered BOC workers on account of death & funeral Assistance.
