Awareness on Child Rights held at Poonch

Poonch: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Poonch organized an awareness programme on “Rights of Children/ right to education and right against exploitation” here at Modern Public High School.

The event was organized under Project Access to justice phase-2nd, under the guidance and direction of Madan Lal, Chairman District legal Services authority Poonch and under the supervision of secretary DLSA Wajahat Hussain Kazmi.

Around 70 students, besides staff members of the school participated in the awareness programme. Advocate Bhanu Partap, the resource person highlighted the right of children and spoke on right to education and right against exploitation. The Principal of the host school and advocate Tahir Mehmood also spoke on the occasion.

The team of DLSA Poonch, Para Legal Volunteers and Advocates Rub Nawaz and Sabzar Ahmed co-ordination child line, Chairman Modern public school Sanjeev Sharma were also present. Pamphlets containing awareness material and light refreshment were also given to the students
