Awareness on Trade Mark registration held at Anantnag
Anantnag: The Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) J&K (Govt of India) today organized a one day webinar on Intellectual Property Rights here, in association with District Industries Centre Anantnag.
During the programme, officers from different departments interacted with the entrepreneurs through web casting about the different schemes run by their departments.
The aim of the program was to create awareness among MSMEs about IP rights with special focus on Trade Mark so that they will come forward and register their unit name, product design as an intellectual property.
Director PHDCCI New Delhi, Mallika Verma gave the introduction to entrepreneurs about the functioning of IP Facilitation Centre recently started in Srinagar as well as in Jammu with financial support of the Ministry of MSME New Delhi and ensured all possible support to MSMEs.
Assistant Director MSME-DI Srinagar, Saheel Alaqband briefed the entrepreneurs about the different components of Credit Link Capital Subsidy, Upgradation Scheme including Zed Certification, Lean manufacturing, digital MSME, Design Clinic scheme, Incubation etc.
I.P attorney New Delhi, Vivek Sing Patel gave the detailed presentation on Intellectual Property Rights (Patent, Trade Mark & Geographical Indication, trade Secret etc) and enlightened MSMEs about the importance of IP rights and how much scope is there in J&K with regards to IP.
Assistant Director O/o Development Commissioner MSME New Delhi, Satish Kumar explained about the procedure of reimbursement from the Ministry after IPR certification.
Meanwhile, it was informed that from last two weeks similar one day online awareness programs were also held in other districts of Kashmir region including Srinagar, Budgam and Pulwama with the support of Director Industries Kashmir, Mahmood Shah, Deputy Director MSME DI J&K, Dr Ashwani Kumar and respective GM DICs .
