Awareness Program on Janbhagidari, AZAN organised at GMHSS Sawjian

POONCH : As per the directions of Higher Authorities, Model Higher Secondary School Sawjian today conducted an awareness program for students about Janbhagidari and Aapki Zameen Aapki Nagrani facility.

Addressing the gathering the school Principal Anwar Khan informed the audience that Janbhagidari is a one stop interactive and user-friendly digital platform giving detailed insights to the people into the nature, status and the number of developmental works being executed in their areas.

The works could be searched with respect to their location in each district, block/municipality and village. The portal also has links to schemes like MGNREGA, PM Awas Yojana, SMB (Urban), SBM (Rural) and PMGSY under execution in Government and the users can click on these links to gain instant access to the works being carried out under these schemes, he said.

Interacting with the audience, vice Principal Sarfraz Ahmad explained the benefit of online service Aapki Zameen Aapki Nagrani. He said it is an initiative to facilitate easy online access to the Land Records System, thereby reducing manipulation of the Land Records and improving the efficiency of Revenue offices substantially.

The major components of the programme include computerization and digitization of land records, Survey/resurvey and updation of all survey and settlement records, Integration of property registration with land records and cadastral maps for enhancing authenticity and security of data, bringing utmost transparency in the system, Capacity building, and development of Land Records Information System.

Principal Anwar Khan stressed upon the students to carry this information home and make their elders aware about it.

The proceedings of the program were conducted by Saleem Rishi teacher. Others who spoke on the occasion included Arif Malik, Jagandeep Singh, Mohd Shafi, Jyoti Jamwal Mohd Hayat and Mukhtar Bandey.
