Awareness programme on International World Water Day organised at Poonch

Poonch: An awareness programme on International World Water Day was today organised here at Mandi by the Society for Scheduled and Backwards in collaboration with the District Jal Jivan Mission Poonch.

Block Development Council, Chairperson, Shamim Ganai, Tehsildar, Shazad Latief Khan; BDC Chairperson, Sathra, Farida Bano, Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, Azam Rather; BMO Mandi, Dr. Nusrat Bhatti, SHO, Mandi, Bashir Kholi; District Coordinator, Imtiaz Ahmed Lone; AEE PHE, Sanmukh Singh, Aganwar Supervisors, Workers besides other prominent citizens were present.

A colourful cultural programme, skits on the water conservation was presented by the artist of Border Cultural Club Poonch led by Kulbir Singh Anjana.

During the programme BDC Chairperson, BMO, Mandi and others spoke on the importance of water and its conservation.

District Coordinator, Imtiaz Ahmed lone presented vote of thanks to the Chief Guest and all participants.
