Awareness programme on MSK, other Women Centric Schemes held at Narbal

Budgam: District Level Centre for Women Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) Budgam today organized an awareness programme on MSK and other women centric scheme’s that come under the umbrella of ‘National Mission for Empowerment of Women’ here.
On the occasion, the DLCW team informed that Mahila Shakti Kendra Scheme is a newly launched Scheme and is meant to provide ‘One Stop Convergent Support Services for Rural Women’ with the opportunities for Skill Development, Employment, Digital Literacy, Health and Nutrition.
The Women Welfare Officer, Afroza Bhat raised awareness among the audiences on Women Specific Schemes such as BBBP, WHL181, OSC, PMMVY, JSY, Ladle Beti, Poshan Abhiyan, Social Welfare Schemes, JKEDI, and other women related Schemes.
The District Coordinators stressed on the education of the girl child and Legal Rights of the Women.
The DLCW team distributed posters related to MSK and OSC among the participants so that the people will get a clear knowledge how DLCW is working for the empowerment of women and their welfare.
The programme was organized at the Office of the Child Development Project Officer Narbal and was attended by CDPO, Areffa Malik, Supervisors, AWW’s, ASHA workers, Adolescent girls and other participants.
