Awareness programme on ‘Youth Engagement and Outreach Programme’ held at Kulgam
KULGAM : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today kick-started daylong ‘Youth Engagement and Outreach Initiative Programme’ under Mission Youth initiative at Government High School, Behibagh, here.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC urged the unemployed youth of the district to come forward and avail benefits under various self-employment and ambitious schemes of Mission Youth.
The DC said that the aim of conducting the programme is to provide awareness and motivate the unemployed youth of the district to get benefitted under various employment generating schemes of the Government.
He appealed to the youth to become job providers instead of job seekers by way of establishing their own self-employment generating units under various employment generation schemes of the Government.
He urged upon them to utilize their energy towards brightening their future.
During this daylong programme, resource persons from Employment Department Peerzada Aijaz and Rayees Iqbal disseminated information to the participants regarding the schemes of Mission Youth J&K.
Besides, the resource persons from other line departments also presented the awareness regarding their respective Self Employment schemes.
Registration counters were established by all line departments where hundreds of participants registered themselves for availing benefits under different self-employment schemes.
Present on the occasion were AD- Employment Kulgam, Block Development Officer, Behibagh, Resource persons from all line departments, Youth Club members and PRIs.
