Awareness/ Workshop on employment generating schemes held at Budgam
Government committed to empower the youth: DC
BUDGAM: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today said that a movement has been started across the district to reach unemployed youth to help them empower themselves by adopting various employment generating schemes through Youth Clubs.
The DDC while speaking at the awareness camp cum workshop organized by Department of Employment and Counseling Centre Budgam at Conference hall here said that such youth shall also prove as vital link in getting other aspiring youth interested towards such opportunities.
The day-long programme was well attended by a large number of unemployed educated youth.
The DDC further said that it is imperative for unemployed youth to approach the various government offices to know about the various Self Employment Generating schemes, register themselves and submit their choice of business unit they are interested in.
He said the Employment and Counseling Center will scrutinize and filter the applications and forward the same to various departments.
The DDC further said that the government is committed to empower the educated youth. “Our minimum target is to register minimum1500 youth and its upper limit is not defined”, the DC added.
During the program, many officers from various line departments apprised the participants regarding the schemes and other benefits under implementation across the district. The speakers urged upon unemployed youth to come forward and avail benefits under various Schemes being implemented by line departments.
