AYUSH Kishtwar hosts Block Health Mela at Gulabgarh

 

KISHTWAR : Department of AYUSH Kishtwar provided varied health services at Health Mela organised at Gulabgarh Padder under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrut Mohatsav.

District Nodal Officer AYUSH Dr Taraq Hussain, had made necessary arrangements for the smooth and successful conduct of the Health mela. The Health mela shall continue in other blocks of the district up to April 22, 2022.

Sub Divisional Magistrate Paddar, Varunjeet Singh Charak, addressed the staff of different health sectors and the general public and applauded the services of the AYUSH.

On the direction of Union Health Ministry including Youth Services and Sports, AYUSH, School Education, Women and Child Development, Culture, Information and Broadcasting, Panchayati Raj Institutions and Urban Development, State Health Authority, Food and Drug Administration besides other departments coordinated with each other in conducting the Mela.

The primary objective of the Health Mela includes increasing health awareness among the population to prevent various communicable and non-communicable diseases, motivating beneficiaries for different health services, besides educating the youth about hazards of drug and other addiction.

The AYUSH Kishtwar displayed different medicines besides providing medical checkup services, distributing immunity booster kits and holding a yoga session.

The main highlight was the live demonstration of yoga by Yoga Therapist Anil Kumar. The Yoga Therapist demonstrated different Yoga Asanas and pranayama good for physical and mental health. The live yoga demonstration was highly hailed by the dignitaries and the general public.

Block Development Council Chairperson Arpan Singh Rana, DC Councilor Hari Krishan Chauhan, Sarpanches and other public representatives were also present in the Programme.
