Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: DC Ramban launches drive to sensitize farmers about digitisation of land record

Ramban : Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today launched an awareness drive on Digital India Land Record Modernization Programme (DILRMP) organized by the Revenue Department across the district as part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Dhirendra Sharma; Chief Agriculture Officer, Farooq Ahmed; other senior officers, PRIs and farmers were present on the occasion.

In his inaugural address, the DC highlighted the significance of the DILRMP and said that digitization is necessary for developing a safe and secure land record data in the district. The DC said that error-free, tamper proof and effortlessly accessible land records facilities are the main features of the DILRMP.

The DC said that this new system would help the people to know about their land status online besides assisting the government in policymaking for land management. He said that such programmes shall be organized at sub- division, tehsil and patwar halqa level also to sensitize the people about this revolutionary achievement during the celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Speaking on the occasion, ADC informed that the scanning of Revenue records has been completed and scanning of maps and the process of records digitization is in progress. He said that the revenue work is being switched over to digital mode and Sub-Registrar office, Ramban is already functional in online mode.

Earlier, ACR gave a detailed powerpoint presentation to sensitize the farmers about different components of the Digital India Land Record Modernization Programme and informed that it would help in implementing various Centrally Sponsored Schemes.

Meanwhile, officers also made people aware about various farmers’ welfare schemes of Agriculture, Horticulture and other departments. The programme concluded with an interactive question-answer session.
