Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav: Cycle rally organized at Ganderbal

Bandipora: As part of, ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’ celebrations, Zonal Physical Education Officer of Zone Tulmulla today organized a cycle race to encourage youth to adopt a healthy lifestyle and highlight the spirit of unity and amity within communities.

In the wee hours of Saturday, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Shafqat Iqbal in presence of Activity Incharge DYSSO Ganderbal, Mohd Maqbool flagged off a cycle rally from Safapora which culminated at Asham Bandipora in which over 89 participants participated comprising young students and locals.

While interacting with participating Cyclists, DYSSO said that the objective of the Cycle rally was to encourage youth as well as people to include physical activity and sports in their day to day life to stay physically fit and active to contribute to nation building.

Later, a felicitation function was organized in which the first three position holders were felicitated with a memento and cash prize.
